The strengthening framework, warped by infrequent saturations
of humidity that the tomb had suffered, no longer serves its pur-
pose, for its tenons hardly meet their morticed sockets. In point
of fact, this relic of authority offered more than one problem in
the matter of reparation sufficient even for transport.
