Scarab.

A scarab of black resin mounted in a gold funda with a broad ring for suspension. 

The back of the beetle is typical of the XVIIIth dyn. with the elytra marked & upon it is a 

bennu-bird in polychrome glass of exquisite workmanship. Upon the base is the following 

hieroglyphic inscription in seven lines: the hieroglyphics/<s> are engraved & filled in with 

white paint:
