The gold plaques of the two longitudinal and four transverse bands are
held in place by threads of violet glass beads/<d> borders, which are
passed through eyelet fastenings on the sides of the plaques. These bands
have outer margins of narrow plain sheet-gold which are similarly
attached. In these plain gold margins are tiny holes at intervals
for sewing them to the outer wrappings of the Mummy.

Ornamental side strap down each side of the Mummy, from the shoulders
to the feet, sewn to the outer wrappings and attached (in festoon fashion)
to the four tranv transverse bands.
These ornamental straps are made up of inlaid gold plaques, held
together by threads of beads. The various devices employed are as
follows: -
