Covering head and shoulders of the mummy of the King.

Length between duct of eye and corner of mouth. 6.4 cms

Description.

Gold mask or similitude of the King.

The face and mask with pierced eyes ears has eyebrows and 

ears (afterwards covered w over with gold foil) has eyes and eyebrows 

inlaid with lapis lazuli, opaque <white> calcite (frequently termed 

aragonite), and obsidian pupils. The corners of the white eyeballs 

are coloured red. 

 

Round the forehead and temples a band (cf. 256, 4P and 4S)
