Turquoise/<Carneleansic> and lapis lazuli glass alternate
lapis lazuli glass
1. inlaid with carneleansic (quartz)
2. inlaid with fibrous calcite coloured underneath to imitate
carneleansic. The calcite was completely disintegrated by fatty
acids - evidently the calcite was a substitute for carneleansic
turquoise glass (decayed).
