have been merely guessing that the vine might

have been absent in some parts of Egypt.

          It would give me much pleasure to see

you again before you leave, but, considering

how busy you must be, it will not be 

surprising if you find that you cannot

spare the time.

          In answer to your reminder about

payment, I find it very difficult to estimate

the time I spent on the work, but suggest 

£10 (to include work, typing and omnibus

fares to Kew),/<.> If you think this un-

reasonable, please say so, I and I shall

be content with less.
