                                       6 June 1932.

 

Dear Carter,

          I have looked at the specimens, and 

find that the one I am quoted as Cypress 

or Juniper is labelled:- "Sample wood, 

Gesso and Gold, from First (outermost) Coffin 

No. 253."

          The piece of tenon with sawn end is :- 

No. 207. "Tenon from First (outermost) sepulchral 

shrine, the sign [ 𓂀 ] 'West' marked on block 

(i.e. Western panel of shrine)"

          I think that this is of Cedar, but 

have not my notes here, and I told you, 

in my ex previous letter, I believe what I 

made of it, I believe
