Summary

This section brings together Howard Carter’s lecture notes from three public talks on the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. The notes refer to lecture slides and Harry Burton’s photographs, which have not yet been linked. The pages were left in the order in which they were received (not always reflecting the actual order of event, see notes per individual page).

The lectures include:

  • TAA.i.12.01-12
    • Discovery of Tutankhamun (1924) – the touring lecture recounting the tomb’s discovery.
  • TAA.i.12.13-24
    • Stockholm Lecture II: Royal Burial and Innermost Treasury (May 1930) – focused on the burial equipment and inner shrines.
Notes

Carter's original page numbering is written and encircled at the top right corners of pages and is reflected in the page field.

Four of these pages also have labels with '1', '2', '3', and '4' written in blue pencil at the top of each page; see the notes for the individual pages.
