9th Season (1930)

Howard Carter left London on 24 September. He arrived in Alexandria and Cairo on 29 September, accompanying H.R.H. the Crown Prince of Sweden. Carter left Cairo for Luxor on 5 October, reaching Gurna on 6 October. The following day, 7 October, was spent putting the house in order and beginning conservation on the faldstool No. 351. Arrangements were also made for workmen to start clearing the entrance of the tomb the next day.
