Saleh Hamdi

Medical doctor. He was born in 1888. He was delegated to the technical office of the Health Ministry in November 1923, and was General Secretary of the Egyptian University until 9 August 1925 when he joined the Alexandria Municipal Sanitary; Director of the administrative affairs for the Government School of Medicine, Cairo; Director General of the Quarantine Service at Alexandria Municipality Sanitary. He returned to Cairo to take up the position of Undersecretary of State, adjunct to the Ministry of Public Hygiene.
He acted as Egyptian co-ordinator and representative during the examination of Tutankhamun's mummy, and participated in the examination and writing up of the report on the mummy.
He died in 1957.
