256. T. Gold 'Collar of Horus'
POSITION:
Neck: over right clav clavicle; tail towards right deltoidesic; wings enveloping neck
Neck:
Covering neck <and back of face>, with tail towards the right hand side. Formed the first group upon
within wrappings of the neck.
DIMENSIONS:
Max. diam. 30 cents. H of bird from head to tip of tail 17 cents.
DESCRIPTION:
[ 𓂀 ] wsḫ-(collar)-of-Horus, cut out of sheet gold with detail
of feathers, ETC., chased. The head of hawk turned to left. In the
claws are the shen-symbols
Attached to the tip of the wings (second primary feather) gold wire to which is
attached a [ 𓂀 ] Mʿa Nḫt (Mankhet) a tag or counterbalance at the
back of the neck.
