POSITION:
Pectoral: thorax, left low side, suspended from neck.
Pendant: below nape of neck (see group 4 E) and 4.D).
DIMENSIONS:
Pectoral: Max. H. 9.0 cents.; Max. W. 9.5 cents.
Pendant: Total L. 3.5 cents.
DESCRIPTION:
A ḫpr-beetle with full spread circular wings, supporting with fore-legs and
wings a lunar-disc (ỉʿḥ of ? Thoth); holds in its posterior-legs the plural
signs [ 𓂀 ] (plain gold) and the ḥb festival symbol; which would seem
to be a play upon the King's name: ỉʿḥ-ḫprw-ḥb instead of
Rʿ-ḫprw-n-b.
Head, prothorax, elytra, fore and hinder-legs, lapis lazuli inlaid.
ḥb-symbol - carneleansic and dark blue glass (lapis), centre gold.
Wings: 'Primaries' - lapis lazuli, field between tips of feathers carneleansic.
'Secondaries' - lapis lazuli tipped with carneleansic.
'Alula' or 'Bastard wing' - as 'Primaries'.
'Wing coverts' - turquoise coloured glass tipped with carneleansic.
'Lesser wing coverts' - carneleansic.
