Ear ring 25a (Found in Faience Vase 25)
Glass – black & white bands alternating
One end (both black & white) covered with crystalline
deposit. This gave re-actions for Cl, CO3 & alkalinity.
Removed with HCl & water & well soaked in water.
Surface underneath pitted. The decomposed end still covered
with white spots (apparently SiO2)
This shows up on the black
Pottery <Dish> (red) No 15
Brushed with dry brush
Alabaster Vase No 55
Much stained with dark brown material
Luting material (remains of) at top = wax
Cleaned with xylol
Alabaster Vase No 20
Much stained with dark brown material
Lute = wax
Cleaned with xylol
Alabaster Vase No 27
Washed with water.
Bottom which was in separate piece was found with
floor rubbish & fastened in with Necol cement
