On the smaller a dull brown resinous-

looking cement. Practically all soluble in 

alcohol. Is resin.
On the larger lid an almost black, brittle 

resinous-looking material spread as patches 

on one side of the under side. Insoluble in 

alcohol. Melts like wax. Possibly not a 

luting material. (? beeswax)
