18 - 12. THE ANTECHAMBER, south end. Before was the splendour

            of the Imperial Age of Egypt, untouched and unharmed for

            3300 years.

21 - 275sic {76}.  A PAINTED CASKET, ornamented with battle and hunting
               scenes in minature painting.
22 - 78.    A BATTLE SCENE.The scheme of ornamentation here represents
               the King slaughtering Egypt’s Asiatic foes.

23 - 77.    A HUNTING SCENE. The King is seen in his chariot hunting

               lions and lionesses. Behind him are his fan-bearers, courtiers,

               and body guard.

24 - 77a.  THE LIONS AND LIONESSES. The sense of movement as well as

                the agonized expression of the <shaft[?] stricken> dying beasts ranks this miniature            
                painting as the finest of its kind.

25 - 82.    THE CONTENTS OF THE CASKET.

26 - 335.   A PAIR OF CEREMONIAL WALKING-STICKS, with curved handles              
                 terminating in negroid prisoners.
